Mauricio Salazar (born 21 September 1979 in La Serena, Chile) is a Chilean association footballer that currently plays as Central midfielder for the Chilean Primera División side Deportes La Serena.
He is nicknamed the engineer and is the favourite player of Deportes La Serena's fans, because to years of service in the club and for the joys that has given the team.
